Albright Grove Old Growth Hike

Join a Tremont naturalist on a hike to this amazing forest that was left uncut during logging days and where many giant trees still stand. Be ready for tree identification, forest ecology, and some serious tree hugging. This is a seven-mile, round-trip hike in the Cosby area of the park. A delicious Tremont sack lunch and snacks will be provided (carried by you, of course!) Call 865-448-6709 for further details. Cost: $30 per person. -
Sierra Club Events - Autumn Splendor & Hiking in Great Smoky Mountains

Enter the magnificent Smokies under towering stands of hardwood forest and a spectacular variety of fall colors. Multi-level day hikes are offered each day, and evening activities include campfire programs ofAppalachian music and storytelling. Program lasts from Sunday supper through Friday breakfast.
