Here are just a few of the comments we've heard from students, teachers and participants after their visit to Tremont. Click the pictures to view a handwritten note.

"Katie got back from her backpacking trip. She had a great time, and says she wants to do your 10 day program next year. It sounds like the staff did a good job splitting the group by experience level, which avoids overextending the 1st timers while allowing the experienced kids to be challenged. It also seems that they did a good job teaching skills and helping the kids have fun. Please pass along our thanks and praise to the staff. As a former camp counselor, I know that the staff puts in a good bit of thought and effort to make things go well.

Thanks for running a quality program."

"They learned that a good time can be had without electronics. ... Also, kids who aren't tops academically could be stars here!" -chaperone 6th grade

“Can't think of anything I did not like about this program.  ... all hikes were wonderful with knowledgeable/enthusiatic naturalists. Evening programs were particularly strong - amongst the strongest of any program I have attended. I think Tremont went out of their way to make our collective experience the absolute best and I can't thank them enough.” - Road Scholar participant

"OK - so, I'm good at being fair and providing constructive feedback. I admit that I struggle to find "issues" or "things to improve on". This place is magical! I come every year. The staff is polite, patient, considerate, educated, and helpful. The facilities are perfect. The food is EXCELLENT. The salad bar is AMAZING! As always, we struggle to find money to send more kids here. We all wish that we could send EVERY child. One day..." -6th grade teacher

Tremont is a magical place!  When I first visited I had just recently entered back into teaching science after 5 years of teaching preschool.  Tremont helped me to regain the passion I once had for my content area and rejuvenated my senses to exploring the world around me.  I had forgotten the joys of being in the woods, listening to the birds and just simply being one with nature.  I had traded all the once loved activities for the hustle and bustle, stress-filled life around us.  Tremont inspired my teaching, reignited a love for learning and made me more aware of the world around me.

Tremont is such a wonderful place for learning, it comes so easily and naturally.  My favorite part of Tremont is watching the students interact with their environment and find joy in learning.  I believe that when a student truly experiences Tremont they will return home a new person.
