Educator Workshops

As educators, you look for ways to share knowledge with students in ways that will help them remember and utilize that knowledge. Teacher workshops are a resource for you - get new ideas, boost your excitement about the coming year, and see a different approach to the average science class. And why not do all that in the mountains?

Teachers looking for professional development opportunities are also encouraged to participate in our Southern Appalachian Naturalist Certification courses.

Wilderness First Responder

The Wilderness First Responder Course is ideal for scout leaders, camp counselors and any other youth or outdoor worker. It not only offers hands-on training for dealing with bites, burns and other injuries, but also teaches participants how to manage conditions brought about from extreme temperatures and other outdoor emergencies.
