The Arts at Tremont

For any program that Tremont supports there are strong ties to the community. Artisans have a special place to make presentations here at Tremont and participants in Tremont programs get to experience first hand the skills and craft of many of these presenters.

For school groups many presentations often take place near the end of the day. Regular participation from community artisans afford teachers to tap into a valuable resource and customize their program for their groups. It is important for students and individuals alike to see and hear how the people of these mountains sustained their livelyhood. Many are portrayed in the presentations of our community artisans.

Artisans:
Answer the Call! If you are an artisan and you would like to learn more about making presentations to groups at Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont please call Jeremy Lloyd at 865-448-9732, ext. 18
