Smoky Mountains Retreat,    July 9-14

Formerly Naturalist Week

“I truly had one of the best weeks of my life.”

“Beautifully balanced program choices…”

“Words can’t describe how wonderful this is, I’ll definitely be back next year!”

Join us for a well-deserved retreat that focuses on learning more about the natural resources around us and exploring your connection with nature. This is a time to slow down, to focus on natural history, science, and the vast biological riches that exist in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Spend the week increasing your knowledge through educational workshops, field studies, hikes, and participation in research that will benefit the All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory. Enjoy the serenity of the national park, its rivers, forests, and special places. This year we will also include a special Smoky Mountain Authors Series that includes a presentation from a different author each evening. Expect to be inspired and to return home loaded with new knowledge and ideas for connecting people of all ages with nature!

Program lasts from Monday supper to Saturday lunch.

Cost: $355 (Includes instruction, meals, and lodging).
Three hours of graduate credit are available for an additional fee.

2007 Smoky Mountain Retreat Tentative Schedule and Session Descriptions are currently being developed - check back for its posting.
